The Home InStyle exhibition will be held in Hong Kong from April 26 to 29, 2025, offering buyers in Asia during this key period for international sourcing a premium selection of products. It’s an opportunity to meet suppliers carefully selected by the HKTDC team to meet the needs of buyers specialising in creating premium assortments. The event proves to be an ideal venue to connect with manufacturers from China, as well as Japan, Korea, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka—sources that are difficult to find elsewhere. As part of Hong Kong’s ambition to establish itself as a design platform, the exhibition has the means to elevate its expertise and raise the quality of its offerings, as we saw during our visit in 2024. French businesses and buyers interested in the event can obtain further information by contacting the Paris office of the HKTDC, led by Sino-French Man Linh Swan.

HKTDC X MAISON&OBJET
Hong Kong aims to become the reference hub for design in Asia. To support this initiative, its government has tasked Maison&Objet with providing ongoing assistance.

Starting in December 2024, Maison&Objet and local design stakeholders mobilised to create the first edition of a “Design Week.” Synchronised with the renowned Business of Design Week, the “Design Inspire” exhibition (produced by the HKTDC) and a city-wide design and creation trail, featuring 60 design locations, saw the “Maison&Objet Design Factory” showcase from 5th to 7th December, featuring 120 brands and 15 designers sharing their expertise in sustainable design. The winners of the Prix pour l’Intelligence de la Main, Uchronia, Normal Studio, Le French Design, matériO’, Elizabeth Leriche, and other French design and craftsmanship leaders were brought to the forefront of the Hong Kong scene. France and Maison&Objet, recognised as benchmarks in design and the art of living, were chosen by the Hong Kong government’s Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA) as key figures to promote Hong Kong as a leading design destination in Asia. It was in this context that the first edition of the “Maison&Objet Design Factory” exhibition was held at the Hong Kong Convention Exhibition Centre, covering 1,000 m². The exhibition, led by Hong Kong’s Ministry of Culture, focused on sustainable development, a field where the French design ecosystem is a recognised pioneer. Divided into five sections, it presented a wide range of inspiring solutions in materials, design, and creation.

ALLIANCE FRANÇAISE OF HONG KONG X MAISON&OBJET

Last September, visitors to Maison&Objet had the opportunity to discover « Hong Kong Design on Stage at Maison&Objet 2024, » a programme jointly organised by the Alliance Française of Hong Kong and Maison&Objet, under the patronage of the Creative and Cultural Industries Development Agency (CCIDA). This agency, part of the Bureau of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, provides unique services and support to the cultural and creative industries, aiming to foster a favourable environment for the development of the arts, culture, and creative sectors as industries in Hong Kong. The ultimate goal of this « Showcase » is to create a dynamic exchange to promote the improvement of urban lifestyles in Hong Kong and around the world, including sustainable production and material innovation. The event showcased ten designers from Hong Kong, offering them worldwide visibility. The format was later repeated in December in Hong Kong at the « Showcase » event during the Business of Design Week.
